The Polk Audio RM6752 Center Channel Speaker for RM6750, Black Finish (single) allows you to add a voice-matched back surround speaker in a 6.1-channel setup. The integrated Power Port Bass Vent designed onto the back of this compact unit is the same technology used in full-sized Polk Audio speakers, and improves lower midrange response and all-important blending for a great performance at a reasonable price range. This integrated design reveals a midrange with no hole in the frequencies, for male vocals that are rich and full rather than thin and weak like many other systems.
The RM6752 utilizes dual 3.25-inch polymer-composite cone drivers that are lightweight and efficient for distortion-free midrange, and a high-performance 0.75-inch silk and polymer-composite dome tweeter for superior imaging and smooth highs. The integrated baffle and grille design allows maximum sound dispersion with minimum diffraction for superior imaging, while the mineral-filled polypropylene enclosure is non-resonant for great looks and natural sound. Nice Speaker
Good little speaker and great if space is tight. May not be right for a large room but wooks great for most locations.
Inexpensive Center Channel Speaker
The Polk RM6752 Center Channel Speaker is a good, inexpensive alternative to higher priced Polk units. I combined this unit with Polk bookshelf speakers that recommended a much more expensive center channel unit. In a room of modest size (12 x 15) it provides more than adequate sound with a 100 watt per channel receiver. The addition of the center channel increases the clarity of speech on tv and dvd's significantly. It also allows the left and right speakers to expand the sound stage to provide more three dimensional sound.
The unit is well built and small enough to fit almost anywhere. It is not large enough to rest the TV on it, however.
If you watch movies, this speaker is NOT for you!
This speaker came with a 5.1 speaker system I bought for $200. I would definitely recommend buying this system only for the 5 other speakers are very decent for the money. The center channel was the bad apple though. It blew only 3 months of viewing pleasure. I am watching movies mostly with the volume turned up but not ridiculously. This speaker is a donkey! I recommend the Polk Audio CS1 for $99.
